As our Book Club ended for the week, Chelsea gave us a little gem of a poem by Harry Baker ... and here it is for your listening and viewing pleasure:

Our Book Club rocks!
What a fantastic groups of students (and staff) we have who each shared a poem that meant something to them.
One poem read aloud was Tennyson's "Crossing the bar". The connection for the reader was that it was read at her grandfather's funeral and talked about being at peace with death and crossing over into another world. Her grandfather's death was at the end of a long illness so the idea of peace in death gave her comfort.
So KUDOS to our Book Club Team for searching and finding poetry that was meaningful to them. The best personal poetry is all about extracting meaning from the words and fitting them into who you are or what you know about life. I'm proud of you all.
