ENL 101 & 201 Connections
Connections is an assessment where you need to pick FOUR texts (they don't all need to be extended written texts (novels), but at LEAST one does) that are connected by a common theme. They do not need to look at/interpret/use this theme in the same way, but the theme DOES need to be present in all four.
You might choose your first text and the consider the theme you want to follow with the rest of your texts, or you may choose your theme first.
We have brought together a list of themes from previous years and suggested themes from your teachers based on the texts you have studied in class, and split them into seven main categories. This list (in the seven categories) is below.

You do not have to choose a theme on our list, it is there to help you.
We have also curated some specific texts for each theme. If you click on the links below, you will be taken to a page that has possible texts for each theme within that category. Each text also has a link to its page in our library catalogue, with a list of these within that text in the notes section - so if the first theme you see it listed under doesn't feel right to you, but you want to do that text, you will have a list of other themes (and therefore texts) to check out!
For each text in the linked padlets below, it will be marked with L1 or L2. If you are doing ENL101, you can use both L1 AND L2 texts. If you are doing ENL201, you must use L2 texts.
