Welcome to the Alfred Hitchcock support page
linked to the Level 3 Assessment sheet provided to you by your teacher.
Where do I start?
A quick way to find out more about Alfred Hitchcock is to do an internet search but remember to think critically about which websites you use. For example, the MSN movies website is probably more reliable than Wikipedia. Wikipedia has great coverage of many topics, including the topics below, but you need to be aware that this information is contributed to by lots of different people. If you are using this site, it always pays to check the information against that on other sites or in books from the library.
Using a clustering search engine (such as Carrot2) or a pre-checked search engine (such as SweetSearch) rather than relying on a 'JGI' (Just Google It) approach is a more time effective strategy. You will still need to assess the websites you find for suitability - assess your sites using the CRAP test. :)
Please ask at the desk for print material we are holding on CLOSED RESERVE for you. These include books and printed articles, as well as an annotated hard copy of the ebook below. If you have any questions or need any help, please just ask. :) :)

Here are some places we searched and found 'great stuff'. We've printed some of it off and have it at the desk for you to look at, or you can print your own from wherever you are viewing this.
Click here to search Carrot2 for information. Remember to click on the FOAM TREES tab for a visual representation of this search engine's clustered results.
... that if you search GOOGLE SCHOLAR from an authenticated IP address (that is, from a school computer or logged into your school account from home), it will automatically search all of the EPIC databases and include full test articles for you? Cool eh!

Referencing your work using APA Style:
Remember, you need to produce your own work and say (cite) where it came from. A great tool for this (using the APA referencing style) is RefMe. This tool also has Android and iPhone apps which makes using it very easy. I have added a YouTube video below that walk you through this very simple process. Please remember to select APA style from the drop-down list.
RefMe has a Chrome extension which you can load onto you toolbar and add your references from there. VERY SIMPLE!
